The FETI Methodology Course (Online)
The FETI Methodology Course is Certified FETI’s foundational training as it provides the full curriculum for the Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview methodology.
Practical Application of FETI (Online)
In the online Practical Application of the Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview course you will apply and practice the elements of the FETI Framework™️ (and Methodology) – both as a facilitator and participant of an interview.

Introduction to FETI (In-Person)
The Introduction to FETI Course (In-person) is an overview of Certified FETI’s foundational interviewing technique, the FETI Methodology. This two day, learning course provides the building blocks for a successful, trauma-informed interview.
Accelerated FETI (In-person)
The in-person Accelerated FETI® course provides attendees with an accelerated overview of the FETI Methodology delivered through live, in-person instruction and facilitated group practice throughout both days.
Practical Application of FETI (In-Person)
In the in-person Practical Application of the Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview course you will apply and practice the elements of the FETI Framework™️ (and Methodology) – both as a facilitator and participant of an interview.

Which courses offer lifetime access?
The FETI Methodology Course (Online) offers lifetime access to the curriculum (and updates) as well as six office hour sessions per year.
Which standardized courses are self-paced?
The FETI Methodology Course (Online) is self-paced which means enrollees can complete at their speed and convenience. All of our other standardized training courses are event-based and have a predetermined start and end date (see training calendar for dates).
Can we purchase training for multiple people?
Absolutely. For all group registration inquiries and group pricing, learn more and inquire at FETI or Organizations.
What does event-based training mean?
Event-based training means that the training course has a live event (in-person or online) tied to it. For example, the Practical Application of FETI Course (In-person) is event-based and requires attendees to select the location and date of the course after purchase. All of Certified FETI’s training events can be found on our training calendar.
Can my organization host training and have FETI come to us?
Absolutely, many organizations choose to host training at a local venue. Learn more about our hosting options by inquiring at our FETI for Organizations page.
Are there prerequisites for any of the standardized training courses?
No. While there are no prerequisites for any of our courses, we highly recommend completing a learning and practice course. Individuals who have completed both types of training are more likely to have greater success when conducting an interview using the FETI Methodology.
What is the difference between learning and practice-based training?
Our training curriculums focus on attaining and enhancing the skill of interviewing and enhancing the proficiency of any skill requires learning (knowledge acquisition) and practice (skill building). Certified FETI offers multiple combinations of learning and practice (online, in-person and hybrid training courses) to best suit attendee needs.
Why is practice important for interviewing?
Just like shooting hoops or playing the piano, interviewing is a skill that requires learning and practice. The Practical Application of FETI courses respect this skill building and provide a venue for practice with guidance and feedback. It is analogous to law enforcement going to the shooting range with an instructor. The Practical Application of FETI courses provide a foundation for developing the building blocks (and muscle memory) for modern, trauma-informed interviewing.
Will I receive a certificate when I complete a training course?
Yes, certificates are generated and can be downloaded/shared from your dashboard after course completion.
What courses should I take to be successful with certification?
While Basic and Intermediate certification can be attempted without any prior FETI learning or practice training, we highly recommend completing a learning course and a practice course to be successful.
I’m not interested in being fully certified, is Certified FETI training right for me?
Absolutely! Our standardized learning and practice training is beneficial for anyone wanting to become a successful, trauma-informed interviewer. Certification is NOT required. However, If individuals are interested in the distinction of being a Certified FETI Interviewer, we offer three levels of certification: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. While certification is not required, it does provide increased accountability, transparency, and an enhance skillset for the interviewer. And as a bonus, Basic and Intermediate certifications are for life!
